Best Day Trips from Seville, Spain:
Cordoba
One of the easiest day trips from Seville is Cordoba. Located just 45 minutes from Seville by train, Cordoba was an important Roman city and there are still some remnants of this, like the city’s iconic Roman bridge. There was also a lot of Islamic influence in Cordoba in the Middle Ages. This can be seen in La Mezquita, a unique church that was once a mosque. La Mezquita is one of the most popular attractions in Cordoba.
Another thing not to miss in Cordoba? The city’s famous patios. Patios are inner courtyards of homes and buildings that are decorated beautifully with with elaborate tile mosaics, ceramics, and colored flowers. There’s an annual festival of the patios every May, but some are open to visitors year-round.
The easiest way to get to Cordoba is by train, and it takes about half the time that driving does. If you want to visit Cordoba as part of a tour, I’d recommend this full-day tour from Sevilla which includes time in Cordoba and tickets for La Mezquita, along with time in the charming small town of Carmona.
Ronda
Ronda is another great day trip from Seville. This city is famous for its whitewashed buildings and dramatic scenery perched on top of a cliff over a deep gorge. It’s possible to get to Ronda by train or bus from Seville, but the journey can take a while (2.5 to three hours depending on which option you choose.)
Driving is actually the better option for getting to Ronda, since it takes less than two hours, and having your own car gives you the flexibility to visit other Pueblos Blancos, or “white villages” nearby.

Cadiz

Granada is further away than the other destinations on this list, but it’s still a worthwhile day trip from Seville. Granada is another historic Andalusian city famous for its Moorish influences.
The best example of Moorish architecture in Granada is the Alhambra, a spectacular palace that is by far the most popular tourist attraction in the city. You could easily spend half a day just at the Alhambra!
There are no direct trains from Seville to Granada (you’ll have to change in Cordoba) and the journey can take 2.5 to three hours. Driving also takes close to three hours. Carmona
