I’m a huge fan of Disney theme parks. I’ve been to Walt Disney World in Florida more than 20 times, but when I used to live in Paris, I loved going to Disneyland Paris since I was so close.
Disneyland Paris is just 35 to 45 minutes by train from central Paris. It’s comprised of two theme parks: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park, which are adjacent to each other.
How many nights do you need to stay at Disneyland Paris? I recommend staying at Disneyland Paris for one or two nights and spending two full days at the parks. If you have additional time or are a huge Disney parks fan, you may want to spend longer, but for most people, one or two nights and two days is enough!
While you can theoretically visit both theme parks on a day trip from Paris, I highly recommend spending one night near the parks because trying to do them both in a day will feel too rushed.
I recommend spending the whole day at Disneyland Park on your first day, the morning and afternoon at Walt Disney Studios Park on your second day (it’s smaller), and finally returning to Disneyland Park on the evening of your second day. This is the perfect amount of time to spend in each park in my opinion.
Where to Stay Near Disneyland Paris
Disneyland Paris is located in a suburb called Marne-la-Vallée, on the RER A train line.
There are a number of on-site hotels at Disneyland Paris and in the Disney Village area. The benefit to these hotels is that they’re within walking distance of the parks (5 to 20 minutes) and have unique theming. But the downside is that these hotels are often ridiculously expensive for the quality you get.

Staying at Disneyland Hotel, which overlooks Disneyland Park and Sleeping Beauty Castle, is on my bucket list, but with prices exceeding $1,000+ a night, it’s probably going to remain a dream for the time being.
If you feel the same, then I recommend staying at an off-site hotel near Disneyland Paris. A couple of these are within walking distance, and the rest are just one stop away on the train.
Prices for off-site hotels are much more reasonable, you get better value and more amenities for what you’re paying, and you’re still only 5 minutes from Disneyland Paris by train or free shuttle.

L’Elysée Val d’Europe is one of the top-rated hotels near Disneyland Paris. It’s located in the Val d’Europe area of Marne-la-Vallée, just one stop on the RER A train from Disneyland Paris. It’s also possible to walk from this hotel to the entrance of Disneyland Paris, although it would take about 25 minutes.
