Where to Stay in Seville, Spain
Are you wondering where to stay in Seville, Spain?
Read on for my top recommendations of the best places to stay in this amazing city! Seville is the fourth-largest city in Spain and the capital of the country’s southern Andalusia region.
Seville is famous for its combination of Moorish, Jewish, and Christian influences. The city is full of unique and beautiful architecture and it has a long and important history and lots of cultural significance.
The city is also known for being the birthplace of flamenco and tapas. So while you’re in Seville, you can’t miss seeing a flamenco show or sitting at an outdoor cafe in the evening enjoying some tapas!
How many days do you need in Seville? I recommend spending at least three full days in Seville to explore all that the city has to offer, and longer if you want to take a day trip to somewhere like Cordoba.
When is the best time to visit Seville? I really love Seville, but I would NOT visit during the summer. It’s scorching hot in Seville during the summer, with temperatures regularly reaching over 100° F (38° C) so I would avoid visiting from June through September and visit from October through May instead.
Best Hotels in Seville, Spain
Moving on, let’s talk about the best places to stay in Seville!
The two best areas to stay in Seville are El Centro and Santa Cruz. These are two adjacent, centrally located neighborhoods that are very lively and close to all the top things to do in Seville.
Is Seville a walkable city? Seville is very walkable. I spent two weeks in the city staying just north of El Centro, and I found it easy to walk everywhere and I actually never used public transportation.
Despite being the fourth-largest city in Spain, Seville is fairly compact. Within the city center, the MetroCentro tram line and the buses are the best public transportation options for getting around.
