Many people have summer houses in Cape Cod or rent a vacation house for anywhere from a week to the whole summer. If you’re coming to Cape Cod for a shorter stay, from a weekend getaway to a week-long vacation, I would personally recommend staying in a hotel rather than renting a vacation house.

Where to Stay in Cape Cod

I was a guest of Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club in Brewster, Massachusetts and I would highly recommend staying here on a trip to Cape Cod if you’re looking for a classy, traditional beachfront hotel.

I stayed at The Mansion at Ocean Edge, which is the most historic part of the resort. This sprawling resort has its own private beach, multiple restaurants, a renowned golf course, tennis and pickleball courts, multiple swimming pools, a fitness center, and a spa. It’s the ultimate summertime escape in Cape Cod.

The town of Brewster is also extremely cute and you can get to many places near the resort by bike. It’s one of the most chill and laidback towns in Cape Cod, which also makes it ideal for families.

You’ll find tons of options for going out to eat, shopping, and nightlife in Chatham. This hotel is a 10-minute drive from downtown.

As I mentioned above, Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club is where I stayed in Cape Cod and I would highly recommend it! This hotel is made up of The Mansion at Ocean Edge, which is the historic beachfront hotel, and The Villages at Ocean Edge, which are more modern condo-style accommodations nearby.

I recommend staying at The Mansion at Ocean Edge because it’s convenient to the resort’s private beach and you’ll also find amenities like a swimming pool, tennis courts, and bicycle rentals. Just a short drive away, you can discover more of the resort including an 18-hole golf course, fitness center, and spa.

Candleberry Inn (Brewster)
