Best Hotels with Pyramid Views in Cairo
I always dreamed of seeing the pyramids in Egypt in real life… but I had no idea there were multiple hotels where you could literally wake up to a view of the pyramids until I made that dream a reality!
Staying at a hotel with pyramid views is a must while in Cairo, in my opinion. And unlike staying somewhere, like, say, Paris, in a hotel with a view of the Eiffel Tower, a pyramid-view hotel in Egypt won’t break the bank. I was pleasantly surprised by how budget-friendly hotels were in Egypt, even luxury ones.
I just returned from a trip to Egypt, and I have to say that one of the highlights of my entire time there was staying in a fabulous hotel that overlooked the pyramids at the start of my trip!
There’s truly nothing like seeing the Pyramids of Giza out your window or over breakfast.
There are tons of hotels in Cairo that offer pyramid views. Most of these are located around the Giza Plateau, which is a complex where you’ll find the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx.
Note: Technically, Giza is a separate city from Cairo, located just across the Nile River. So the following hotels are all actually located in Giza rather than downtown Cairo — but it’s not a far drive!
If you want to stay somewhere with a pyramid view, you’ll want to make sure you’re looking at hotels in Giza. Hotels in downtown Cairo may have nice views of the city or the river, but not the pyramids.
It’s also important to note that while all of the hotels below offer rooms with pyramid views, not every room is guaranteed to have one. You’ll want to make sure you’re specifically booking a room with a view (and this will typically be more expensive than a standard room, so keep that in mind.)
Read on for my top picks and recommendations for where to stay with pyramid views!
Where to Stay for Pyramid Views in Cairo
As I mentioned, there are lots of options to choose from when it comes to pyramid view hotels in Cairo. I personally stayed at Marriott Mena House, and this hotel would be my number one recommendation!
The hotel is located closer than any other hotel to the pyramids — it’s literally inside the entrance! It’s a five-star luxury hotel with lots of amenities, including a swimming pool, hot tub, and spa.
Not all rooms have pyramid views (you’ll have to pay extra for that!), but you can see the pyramids while walking around the beautiful grounds of the hotel and from the hotel restaurant, where breakfast is served. So even if your room doesn’t face the pyramids, you’ll be able to soak in plenty of incredible views.
Personally, I did not want to pay extra for a pyramid-view room, since I knew I would be able to enjoy seeing the pyramids from other areas of the hotel property. But it’s really up to you!
This is one of the few true luxury hotels close to the pyramids. Most of the other options are much more basic, but very affordable. It all depends on what you’re looking for and how much you’re willing to spend, but if you have the chance to stay at the Marriott Mena House, I cannot recommend it enough.
Here are my top picks for the best hotels with pyramid views in Cairo, Egypt:
- Best luxury: Marriott Mena House
- Best affordable luxury: Steigenberger Pyramids Cairo
- Best budget: Guardian Guest House

Marriott Mena House
As I mentioned, this is where I stayed in Cairo, and I absolutely loved it! This was one of the most memorable hotels I’ve ever stayed at in my life, and I couldn’t get over the views of the Pyramids of Giza.
Marriott Mena House offers luxurious guest rooms and amenities like a heated swimming pool, a hot tub, a fitness center, and a spa. The landscaped grounds and gardens are beautiful and provide stunning views of the pyramids, along with the restaurant, where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Steigenberger Pyramids Cairo
Another one of the best luxury hotels with pyramid views is Steigenberger Pyramids Cairo. While I did not stay at this particular hotel, I did stay at another Steigenberger hotel in Downtown Cairo at the end of my trip, and I really enjoyed it. So it’s safe to say that this is also a good option for your trip to Cairo.
This is a more affordable luxury hotel and offers great value for your money. Amenities include a swimming pool (which also has pyramid views!) and a free buffet breakfast every morning. However, the views of the pyramids are a little more distant from this hotel than they are from the Marriott Mena House.
Guardian Guest House
Moving away from luxury hotels, Guardian Guest House is a great budget-friendly hotel with pyramid views. This hotel is simple yet comfortable, and some rooms have direct views of the pyramids. I’ve seen lots of people stay here, and I’m amazed by the spectacular views that you can get of the pyramids here.
You can also see the Sphinx from this hotel, which is really cool! There’s a rooftop terrace with amazing views. The hotel offers a complimentary Egyptian breakfast and can help with arranging tours.
Jimmy Pyramids View
Jimmy Pyramids View is another affordable hotel overlooking the Pyramids of Giza. This is a great place to stay if you want to be close to the pyramids. Some rooms overlook the pyramids and have balconies.
One of the best rooms at this hotel even has a luxurious bathtub with pyramid views. There’s a rooftop terrace where you can also enjoy excellent views of the pyramids. Free breakfast is included.
Nine Pyramids View Hotel
Nine Pyramids View Hotel is another budget-friendly hotel in Cairo with great views of the pyramids. The rooms at this hotel are modern and comfortable, while still being a great value for money.
The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast each morning, served in the dining room with pyramid views. You can also head up to the rooftop terrace to take in even more expansive views of the area.
Khan Duidar Inn
Khan Duidar Inn is another great place to stay if you’re looking for a hotel with views of the pyramids. Based on the location of this hotel, you can really only see one of the Pyramids of Giza directly.
Still, it’s a great view, especially if you book the room with a Jacuzzi bathtub overlooking the pyramids! Breakfast is included at this hotel, and there’s also a rooftop terrace providing exceptional views.
Giza Pyramids View Inn
Giza Pyramids View Inn is the perfect place to stay if you want to overlook the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. This budget-friendly hotel has rooms with great views, and some have private balconies.
A fun thing about this hotel is that many of the rooms have Egyptian-themed decor. As is typical with the rest of the hotels on this list, breakfast is included, and there’s a rooftop terrace with great views.
Panorama View Pyramids
Finally, Panorama View Pyramids is another option if you’re looking for affordable Cairo hotels with pyramid views. This budget-friendly hotel offers direct, unobstructed views over the Pyramids of Giza.
Some of the rooms have pyramid views, and some have private balconies. There’s also a rooftop where you can sit and enjoy views of the pyramids. Complimentary breakfast is included with your stay.
