Best Luxury Hotels in Corfu
Are you looking for the best luxury hotels in Corfu, Greece?
Corfu is one of the most unique and beautiful Greek islands. Located just off the coast of Albania and northwestern Greece, the look and feel of this island is very different from the popular Cycladic islands like Santorini and Mykonos. Where those islands are brown and barren, Corfu is green and lush.
And you won’t find stark white buildings with blue-domed roofs here, like you would in the Cycladic islands. Corfu instead has a unique blend of Venetian, French, and British architectural influence, owing to its long history of changing hands before becoming a part of Greece in the 19th century.
Corfu is known for its beautiful beaches and scenery, as well as the historic Corfu Town. If you’re looking for the best luxury hotels in Corfu for an amazing trip, I’ve got you covered with the list below.
Where to Stay in Corfu
Corfu is a fairly large island, spanning 229 square miles. It’s long and narrow, and driving from north to south takes about two hours, while driving from east to west takes no more than forty minutes.
The main hub on the island is Corfu Town, where the airport is located and where cruise ships, ferries, and other boats arrive. Staying in or around Corfu Town is convenient if you want to stay in a vibrant area with lots of things to do, while some of the smaller towns offer a quieter, more relaxing escape.
I’ve included options in both Corfu Town and around the island for you below. If you don’t plan to rent a car, staying in Corfu Town is a good idea, but if you have a car, you have more flexibility.
Here are my top picks for the best luxury hotels in Corfu, Greece:
- Best luxury resort: Corfu Imperial
- Best all-inclusive: Dreams Corfu Resort & Spa
- Best in Corfu Old Town: New York Luxury Suites
