Best Luxury Hotels in Mykonos, Greece
This guide is all about the best luxury hotels in Mykonos, Greece.
Mykonos is one of the top luxury destinations in Greece, and this island has long been popular with celebrities. It’s known for its exclusive beach clubs and happening nightlife scene. But if that’s not your style, there are plenty of quieter beaches and lots of classic Greek charm in Mykonos.
How can you get to Mykonos? Mykonos is accessible by nonstop flights from many destinations in Europe, including Athens (it’s just a quick 30-minute flight.) You can also take a ferry from Athens (2.5 to 3 hours) or from another island like Santorini (2.5 hours.) I personally prefer the ferry!
Where to Stay in Mykonos
Mykonos is only about 33 square miles, so it’s fairly small. You can get around the island easily by renting a car, ATV, or scooter. Taxis are also available, and there’s even a robust local bus system.
When it comes to the best area to stay in Mykonos, here are some options:
- Mykonos Town: Also known as Chora, the main town of Mykonos is a great place to stay. Cars aren’t allowed in town, but it’s very walkable. There’s tons of shopping, dining, and nightlife here.
- Paradise Beach: Located on the southern side of the island, Paradise Beach is the best place to stay in Mykonos for partying. This is where you’ll find all the best beach clubs in Mykonos.
- Ornos and Platys Gialos: Both of these are more chill beach areas if you’re looking for a more relaxed vibe. You’ll find beautiful beaches as well as plenty of things to do in both of these areas.
- Agios Ioannis: This is another great beach area in Mykonos with a more secluded atmosphere. There are a lot of great resorts in Agios Ioannis perfect for couples and honeymooners.
