Best Luxury Hotels in Curacao
I’ve been dreaming of Curacao’s beaches ever since I left! This Caribbean island is one of my top picks for a great beach getaway, especially if you’re looking for an alternative to highly touristy Aruba.
Curacao is one of the ABC Islands, along with Aruba and Bonaire. This Dutch Caribbean island is known for its beautiful beaches that consistently rank among the best in the Caribbean, its colorful capital, Willemstad, its great scuba diving, and of course, its production of orange-flavored Curacao liqueur.
Here are some of the top activities in Curacao that I recommend:
- Take an underwater walking tour (no swimming or scuba skills needed!)
- Go on a boat trip to Klein Curacao and enjoy an open bar and BBQ lunch
- Swim or snorkel with sea turtles at Grote Knip Beach
- Go on a jet ski tour to see some of Curacao’s most beautiful beaches
Although it’s not quite as popular as Aruba, Curacao still receives over one million tourists each year. It’s the perfect place to go if you’re looking for a fun and relaxing Caribbean vacation.
Compared to some other pricey destinations in the Caribbean, Curacao is a relatively affordable island, meaning you can score some great deals even on four-star and five-star luxury hotels.
Where to Stay in Curacao
You’re probably wondering where you should stay in Curacao. And I’ve got you covered! The hotels below are curated based on my own experience and research to help you find the perfect hotel.
Most people stay in the lower part of the island, which is where the capital Willemstad is located. The upper part of Curacao is less developed and is home to some beautiful beaches and national parks. The southern tip of the island also has pristine beaches and unspoiled nature preserves that you can visit.
