Where to Stay in Aruba
Are you wondering where to stay in Aruba?
Read on for my top recommendations for every travel budget and travel style!
Aruba has the nickname “One Happy Island” and it’s not hard to see why. The island is one of the sunniest in the Caribbean, and it’s a great year-round destination since it’s not affected by hurricanes.
You can find some of the best beaches in the Caribbean in Aruba, which is known for its white sand beaches and clear turquoise waters perfect for swimming or snorkeling. Aruba is also one of the best places in the Caribbean for shopping, dining, and nightlife, with plenty of beach bars, clubs, and casinos.
These are some of the best things to do in Aruba:
- Take a thrilling ATV tour to a secret beach with cliff jumping and a natural pool
- Enjoy a champagne breakfast and lunch cruise with snorkeling
- Take a Jeep safari to Arikok National Park and see Aruba’s wild side
- Experience horseback riding on the beach and visit a natural pool
- Go for a sunset sail with plenty of snacks and an open bar
- Take a nightlife tour and bar-hop around on a party bus
Best Places to Stay in Aruba
Aruba is a fairly small island, but the best places to stay are on the northwest side of the island. Eagle Beach and Palm Beach are two areas known for having the best beaches, restaurants, and nightlife. This is where you’ll find most of the hotels in Aruba, including high-rise and low-rise resorts.
The capital Oranjestad is another place to consider staying if you want to be close to shopping, dining, and nightlife. The popular Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort is located in Oranjestad, but guests have free access to Flamingo Island, Renaissance’s private beach, where pink flamingoes roam.
On the southern end of the island, you won’t find many hotels or resorts. It’s a more residential area, but you can find vacation rentals if you’re looking for a quieter experience away from the touristy areas.
Here are my top picks for where to stay in Aruba:
- All-inclusive resort: Riu Palace Aruba
- Luxury hotel: Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort
- Adults-only resort: Bucuti & Tara Boutique Beach Resort
- Affordable hotel: Wonders Boutique Hotel
